Support Randy Bernard: Sign The Petition

As Randy Bernard has confirmed on Twitter tonight after Robin Miller's radio interview earlier today, there is at least one team owner attempting to have INDYCAR CEO Randy Bernard removed from his position. I don't know how developed or far it's gone, but I do know I have learned enough history lessons and have seen enough to know that's a spectacularly horrible idea.

You don't have to agree with everything Randy Bernard does or says, but if you believe in stability for INDYCAR, and believe it is headed in the right direction under Bernard's leadership, I urge you to sign this petition, expressing your support for Randy Bernard. I am happy to be co-sponsoring it with several other individuals, and hope you will join us. As Abraham Lincoln said, you don't swap horses in midstream.

The link for the petition can be found here: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/715/894/185/please-keep-randy-bernard-as-the-ceo-of-indycar/

Don't underestimate the power you have as fans to have a great influence on the sport we all love. If nothing else, let's let Randy Bernard know the fans support him.

  1. I really Like Randy's passion. A poor choice now based on personal politics would be a very bad idea.

  2. Well, even if it has been defused, or if it's still alive, a good show of fan support never hurt anything. I would really like to see INDYCAR stay the course.

  3. It's gotta be John Barnes, right? Owner of a Chevy team that thinks they got screwed in Turbogate. Just got a big fine for complaining about Turbogate on Twitter. Owner of a team that is competitive on ovals but struggles on twisties, in a league that now primarily races on twisties. Original IRL owner that remains friendly with the old regime. Makes sense, right?

If it was Penske, Randy would already be gone. It has to be one of the smaller teams.

    1. I couldn't say, and it's unlikely we'll get a clear answer, so my focus is more on support for RB than anything.

  4. Thanks for doing this. Totally agree he is the right man for the job. He's the best leader the league has had in my lifetime.
