(Welcome to IndyCar Advocate's week-long INDYCAR Kickoff! Each day, we'll be featuring a different big article in anticipation of this weekend's big IZOD IndyCar Series opener at St. Pete).
This season, along with our Engine Power Rankings, IndyCar Advocate will be hosting an inter-blog contest called Last Driver Standing. Basically, it’s going to pit many bloggers against one another, in a no-holds-barred quest for glory.
How does one win? Simple. Each race week, each participating blogger selects one driver they predict will finish in the Top 10 of that race. If your driver misses out on the Top 10, for whatever reason, you are considered eliminated from the contest. The blogger who has the longest uninterrupted streak of Top 10 finishers is the winner! And yes, they can only use each driver in the field once—and if they don’t submit a pick before the deadline (usually the Thursday/Friday before a race), they’re out of the running.
Now, if you want to play along, feel free to do so in the comments section. In the meantime, here are our featured contestants, along with their picks for Week 1:

Wow, no one picked a Ganassi driver. Afraid of a blown engine?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're saving them for a really tough week. :)
DeleteI'm just hoping I get through Week 1 for now!
Paul Henry has Graham Rahal. Technically a Ganassi driver but not a Target driver. Steph is either brave or dumb for picking Conway.
DeleteI'm picking Ryan Briscoe.
ReplyDeleteCool--let's see who gets it done this weekend, and who is all finished after the first race.
ReplyDeleteDZ - Grounded Effects - Marco Andretti
